Our Story

From our cabin in the woods, we work hard to showcase the bounty of our island home. From local farm produce, meat and seafood, foraged edibles from land and sea, and local goods made from island crafts people, the abundance and beauty of the San Juan Islands is on full display.

Our handcrafted and balanced cocktails feature spirits from local and regional distilleries, local seasonal produce and wild harvested island botanicals.

Our carefully curated wine list offers a wide range of complementary regional and international choices.

Our Place

Duck Soup is a comfortable country restaurant that serves fresh, sophisticated Northwest cuisine. Four and a half miles outside of Friday Harbor, Duck Soup is nestled in the woods overlooking scenic ponds. Comfortable booths, a fieldstone fireplace, our beautiful seasonal deck and stone firepit lounge create an atmosphere that is simultaneously cozy, relaxing and elegant.

Corkage policy:
While we are happy to open your special bottle of wine if it does not appear on our wine list, our corkage fee is $30 per 750ml bottle.
We request that all tables, regardless of party size, bring in no more than two bottles of wine.
After two bottles, corkage increases to $45 per bottle.
